The Village of Skokie, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, is the home of about 66,000 residents, over 2,400 businesses and an excellent school system. Skokie is located northwest of Chicago, about sixteen miles from downtown, and about twelve miles east of O’Hare International Airport. Every summer Sunday since 1975, residents have been able to buy fresh produce from farmers from four states at the Skokie Farmer’s Market.
