Columbus

As the capitol and largest city in Ohio, Columbus has something to offer almost anyone. Its strong and diverse economy has lead to many top ten rankings for best big city to live in, best place to operate a business, strongest economy, best knowledge and communications base, and greenest economies by groups such as Market Watch, fDi magazine, Policom Corp., CNN Money and Sustain Lane, and in 2008 was ranked first for most up and coming technological city in America by Forbes magazine. Included in its diverse economy are sectors such as education, insurance, banking, defense, aviation, logistics, energy, medical research, health care and technology. Many of these industries team with colleges in Columbus, allowing for joint educational and professional research and development.
Columbus colleges enroll approximately 100,000 students in its two public colleges and numerous private schools, both large and small.
