Richmond

The city of Richmond is the capitol of the state of Virginia and does not belong to any county. It is 100 miles away from Washington, D.C. and 60 miles from Chesapeake Bay. It serves as the center for the Greater Richmond Area and the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is surrounded by Chesterfield County and Henrico County.
