K-12 Education

Kindergarten through twelfth grade is the foundational phase of education, and requires excellent teachers who can impart both knowledge and the desire to learn in their students. Graduates of K-12 education courses are equipped to utilize their knowledge and personality to the best effect, and are responsible for the education of a nation’s youth.

There are several degrees in education, but the primary function of a graduate from a K-12 education degree is to teach in schools at the K-12 level. An education degree directly renders graduates eligible for jobs as a high school teacher. Initially, most have to work as a teacher’s assistant or TA; preparing lessons, demonstrating projects, grading papers, tutoring, and assisting the teacher.

A high school teacher needs to stick to the curriculum laid out by the authorities for the current year, but is allowed to submit feedback for changes in the next academic session.
