According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the demand for sociologists is expected to grow by 10% between 2006 and 2016. The 2006 median income for a degreed sociologist was $67,300 per year. Individuals entering scientific research and developmental services typically earn greater salaries at $73,550.
