According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for electrical engineers in 2006 was $75,930. In 2006, a total of 291,000 electrical engineers were employed in the U.S. alone. It is predicted that job availability for electrical engineers will rise about 5 percent in the coming decade.
